Dream Derailer #8c: Ingratitude for Visions

Be Grateful for Your Dreams and Visions

Visions are gifts to you of what is possible if you would just honor your dreams and moral thoughts and act on them.  Each thought has its own frequency and energy and it is this energy that guides us to our highest potential.  When we are on the right frequency, we have the power of attraction and the right people, resources, and opportunities unfold before us with amazing ease.  When we are on the wrong frequency or the wrong track, much of life seems to be a burden or uphill battle.

Visions are Divine Signs

That is why it is important to spend time focusing on our dreams and visions.  We must keep them foremost in our thoughts so that they can guide us to our intended reality.   It helps to respect our visions when we realize that not only are they possible but that they already exist in the thought realm. We must treat them as sacred and understand that to see future possibilities is a divine sign specifically for us.  We would not receive a vision if it was not possible.  To ignore these gifts, is to ignore our highest potential.  We must understand that thoughts are real but they need our focus, faith, and action to coax them from the realm of  thought into the realm of reality.

Dream Derailer 8b: Failure to Honor Visions (Free Will and Faith)

Critical Importance of Free Will and Faith

Do you realize how powerful you are?  If so, then have you forgotten?  You are noble, worthy, powerful, and creative.  We are co-creators in creation.  We have unlimited potential and possibilities.  And, with that power we have been given the free will to embrace or ignore our visions.

We Must Choose

We have to consciously choose a vision if it is to manifest in our lives.  We choose what we want to attract by focusing our thoughts, energy, will, faith, and action on it.  But of course, this only works if we believe. Regrettably, so many people still have so little faith that they cannot generate the spiritual energy necessary to make their dreams become reality.

Faith Is Required to Embrace a Vision

It requires faith to embrace a vision of some future possibility and that is perhaps why so many people fail.  Belief in your dreams is critical, for why would anyone dedicate their lives to something that the didn’t believe in?  Go ahead, many choices are before you, but you must decide which way to go.  Don’t treat free-will like a burden, see it for what it truly is, a gift.

Dream Derailer #8a: Failure to Respect Our Visions as Sacred

Visions Are Sneak Previews of Reality

Okay, you’ve prayed, wished, and hoped for something that would give your life meaning and certitude, and now you’ve experienced “that something” in a vision.  You see it in your mind’s eye, but it is not yet real.  You wonder if it is just a vain longing or if it is truly possible to achieve.  You want to believe it is possible, but you find yourself doubting and second-guessing yourself.

How much do you value and respect your dreams and visions?

When we respect something, we don’t take it for granted.  Have you ever thought about where a vision comes from? Humans have always held things as valuable that are rare and precious.  And, what could be more precious than getting a sneak preview of your future potential and possibilities?  We should feel honored to even receive a vision.  Visions come from another realm and because of that should be treated as sacred, for if they were from this realm, they would be visible now.  Our visions are a panoramic guide to show us what is ordained for us, for if we see it, it should make it easier for us to believe it.  And, only when we believe, will we receive.  If you don’t get visions, try spending more time in silent, meditative, and prayerful reflection.  In order to truly respect yourself, you have to respect your dreams.  Respect implies acknowledgment, faith in, and acting on them to bring about their manifestation.

Dream Derailer #7: Wasting Energy Blaming Others

Who’s Fault Is It?

Who is to blame for your lack of success, your mother, father, wife, husband, boyfriend, girlfriend, sister, brother, friend, boss, children, the government…?  There is a never-ending list of people to blame if you’re looking for a scapegoat.  Just remember that blaming takes energy, energy that is put to better use making your dreams come true.

Take the Credit and the Criticism

When you succeed you will take the credit and when you fail that is also your honor.  If you want to be successful and keep on track and not get derailed, you must be responsible.  The only person that stands between and your dream is you. You may think that other people are blocking your way, but they only have the power that you give them.   The buck stops with you!  If you believe that the actions of others have the power to prevent you from succeeding, then your belief gives them that power and makes the statement true.  However if you believe that nothing can stop you, you will find a way around any obstacles you encounter and become stronger in the process.

Dream Derailer #6d: Not Viewing Goals as Promises

Is Setting a Goal a Promise or a Pretense?

This is the fourth consideration for the Commitment series.  How you view goals might make the difference between your success or failure.  Is your goal a serious well thought-out promise or are they just arbitrary, fickle thoughts that changes with the tides? Many people take seriously the promises they make to others, but do not take their own commitments to themselves as seriously.  Why is that? If you make a promise to a friend and break it, they will lose confidence in you.  Why do you think it would be different to consistently break promises to your own self?

How Much Is Your Word Worth?

It boils down to how much is your word worth?  This is the foundation of confidence, to know you can rely on yourself to produce.  You are the leading actor in your own unfolding drama called life.  You are also the director; you are responsible for calling the shots.  You are also the producer.  The success or failure of the program is in your hands.  You decide what your life (show) is going to be about and you write the script (set the goals). Then you commit, I mean really commit! That is, you make a promise to yourself and you keep it.
