“When the student is ready, the teacher appears.”

Are you ready?  I mean are you ready to live the life of your dreams? Are you ready to move beyond self-limiting thoughts and beliefs? Are you ready to accept your abundant blessings?  Are you ready to accept your lessons as guidance to unleashing your power? My wish for us today is that we all just “wake up” and realize that there are lessons and blessings around every corner. If we just open our eyes, our minds, and our hearts, we will learn the lessons we need to learn and begin receiving the blessings that we are heir too!

Life is abundant. There is enough of everything to go around. We don’t need to compete; we need only to realize that we are all connected, to collaborate, and to care about each other. This is what we call service. When we serve others, our blessings naturally flow. The more you give, the more you get! The greatest lie is that we are separate and need to battle or vie against each other to get our piece of a shrinking pie. The universe does not know limitation or lack; we create that reality of limitation in our own minds. It is that limiting perception that limits us because what we believe is what we ultimately get!

First of all where you are is where you need to be at this moment. All of your past life experiences brought you here. Everything you and I need to get to where we want to ultimately be is already here. When we focus on it with unwavering faith, we cause it to manifest. The reality is that your faith, belief, and expectations largely determine what you actually see. The mind and its tools of perception are designed to filter out and show you only what you believe, focus on, and think about. That means that just because you don’t see it, doesn’t mean that it is not there!  And more importantly, it means that if you want something to manifest, focus your thoughts on what you WANT and not on what you don’t want.  When you learn to consistently focus on what you want, you will attract into your being everything you are destined to manifest. Remember, Lessons are around every corner. However, you may have to pass through a lesson first. So, don’t avoid the lessons because they lead to you to your blessings!

A MESSAGE TO THE WINNERS

To some, the traditional definition of winning is the one who gets the prize, get’s there first, or who demolishes the opponent.  They might also argue that there can only be one winner and that makes everyone else by default, a loser. Now let me define winning.  Everyone who takes a chance on their dream is a winner.  Anyone who has courage to get in the race is a winner.  Anyone that believes enough in their dreams to at least try is a winner.  Anyone that doesn’t give up or make excuses even though the odds are not in their favor is a winner.  Anyone who chooses to believe that the journey is just as important as the destination is a winner.  So, I choose to define as winning any effort that gets me closer to my goal, teaches me important life lessons, increases my faith, makes me serve more unselfishly and more courageously, and also expands my horizons.

3. WIN: Redefine What Winning Means

Who Says Winning or Losing Are the Only Two Options?

In this dichotomous society we give the adventurous only two choices, win or lose.  That means, to win, someone has to lose.  No one likes to lose, so the majority just refuse to play at all and relegate themselves to the mundane, certain, boring, and less challenging pursuits in life.   But you don’t have to play by those rules.

Write Your Own Rules

Define or redefine, or be defined! Write your own definition and rules!  After all you have free will.  You have choice.  You are responsible for you!  Some rules are advantageous to follow, but some are self-limiting.  If the old rules are working for you, keep following them.  If not, CHANGE them!  I refuse to see myself as a loser!  I choose to approach every new opportunity (race) as a new path to unlimited potential possibilities.  I define anyone with enough faith in themselves to pursue their dreams or a challenging opportunity as already a winner!  I define winning as any pursuits that open me up to new possibilities, (different ideas, new opportunities, new ways of thinking and being, diverse people, or new paradigms.)   Now with that definition, I will always win and win big!

1. WIN: Learn Something New and Change Your Brain.

  1. Learn Something New and Change Your Brain. Every time you learn something new, you win and you win big!  Recent neuroscience discoveries have uncovered new information about our brains.  Every new experience changes our brain!  The old science operated under the belief that after age four our brains were already formed but the new science of neuroplasticity is causing neuro scientists to rethink everything they thought they knew.
  2. The following is an excerpt from a  fascinating article,  by the Practical Memory Institute,  ‘Introduction to Neuroplasticity:

“Groundbreaking new research suggests that, beyond modifying pathways and forming new ones between existing neurons, the human brain is even able to generate entirely new brain cells. While this neural regeneration was long believed to be impossible after age three or four, research now shows that new neurons can develop late into the life span, even into the golden years of age 70 and beyond. Thus, the old adage “use it or lose it” is brought soundly home. If one’s brain is constantly challenged by and engaged with a variety of stimulations and new experiences, while also exposed regularly to that which it already knows, it is better able to retain its adaptive flexibility, regenerative capacity, and remarkable efficiency throughout life.”

3 Ways to Always Win Big

Nobody Likes Losing

That’s right! It’s game day and time to get your game on! Let’s face it; nobody likes losing, so much so, that many refuse to even get into the race of life.  (Note: I define the “race” as any meaningful goal, wish, desire, or passion that defines what you want out of life.)

Meanwhile the ‘watchers’  vicariously just watch life go by and waste their precious existence watching others (via unlimited connectivity to media) live the lives they wish they had the courage to pursue.  Perhaps that’s why Americans spend as much as five hours a day watching television and the insatiable addiction to following the lives of celebrities.

What grand ideal are you putting off pursuing?

What great goal is languishing because you are procrastinating?  What wonderful wish is remaining, well … still just a wish.  Come on, don’t just watch the race of life, get in a lane, any lane! Most successful people will tell you, that most of the rush is in the race, not in the finish, and definitely not on the sidelines.  Many experience a, “Now what?” after they’ve achieved a goal.  But the real excitement was in the start, in the perseverance, and finally in the moments before and after the finish.

How Do You Know You Will Win?

So, what is it that you’ve always wanted to do but haven’t started yet for fear of losing?  Claim it now and go after it knowing that you will win.  How do you know you will win?  Because you are allowed to change the rules! Read my next three posts on three simple rules to get you started: 1) Redefine what winning means, 2) Improve on your own personal best, and 3) Learn something new and change your brain.
